Executive Vice President
“I love working for a company where I know the owners are completely committed to the people and communities that we care so much about.”
Shawna Topor visited Colorado often as a child and fell in love with it. So when she had an opportunity to move to the mountains with her sorority sisters after college, she went for it. She didn’t have a job lined up, but she soon found one — right here at Slifer Smith & Frampton. That was 25 years ago and Shawna has never looked back. She enjoys collaborating with her teammates, coming up with big ideas, and being empowered to make those ideas a reality.
Why is it important to you to work for a locally focused real estate company?
I really believe in community. Especially in the markets we’re in, where we have a small-town mentality. People are always here for each other. So working for a local company where I know the owners, and where I know that we’re connected to the community I care so much about, makes all the difference.
What’s your favorite Colorado spot?
There’s this one little spot on Brush Creek where we take our dogs and kids. We can ride our bikes there, and in no time, we’re taking off our shoes and splashing around in the creek. It’s so great. You’re in the sunshine, enjoying the water. You run into your neighbors. There’s laughter all around. We just love it.
Is there a local cause that is important to you?
I am passionate about many local causes, it’s difficult to choose just one. I recognize that investing my time, talents and community is a fundamental part of what makes our communities great places to live. I serve on the board for the Charitable Foundation of Slifer Smith & Frampton and believe the motto says it all. Give to one. Give to many.
With the Foundation we are able to support nearly 100 amazing local charities in our community that foster education, youth, arts, athletics, environmental stewardship, and make our mountain towns the very best place to live!
