Our story begins, like any good adventure, at a ski lodge in Vail.

A Brief Synopsis of Slifer:

1962

Ski instructor Rod Slifer starts selling real estate, becoming Vail’s first ever real estate agent.

1968

As Vail grows, Rod Slifer opens his own brokerage, Slifer & Company, on Bridge Street.

1986

Harry Frampton and Mark Smith form East West Partners, the development group behind Beaver Creek Resort.

1988

Harry Frampton and Mark Smith open Frampton Smith Real Estate to serve the fledgling Beaver Creek market.

1994

Frampton Smith Real Estate joins forces with Slifer & Company, and Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate is born.

2004

Slifer Smith & Frampton opens two offices in Summit County, located at 117 S. Main Street and Keystone Resort.

2013

We open two more offices on Main Street. (Main Street in Frisco and 211 S. Main St in Breckenridge.)

2019

We acquire boutique firm Palladium Properties, expanding our territory into Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. Palladium Properties founder Krista Klees joins as Executive Vice President and Managing Broker overseeing operations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

2020

We join Forbes Global Properties as a founding member, leveraging the audience and worldwide reach of Forbes to showcase Colorado’s finest homes and the stories behind them.

2021

We appoint market presidents in each of our markets, one in the Vail Valley, one in the Roaring Fork Valley, one in Summit County, and one on the Front Range. This management change brings us even closer to our customers and communities.

2022

We acquire Colorado Landmark Realtors, a legendary Boulder Valley brokerage, solidifying our reach across the Front Range of Colorado. Orly Ripmaster joins as Front Range President.
